Open your ears and eyes - and be open. A conversation with an airline founder I'll never forget.

I was so happy to be a speaker and teach at Startup Week in San Diego this week. A few years ago, I had volunteered because I wasn't sure I was going to actually continue to be an entrepreneur - and I got to impact hundreds of people with mentoring and learning how to brand themselves online.

I am thankful that Jay Conner of Jaybird Media had a takeaway from my branding session and took a moment to share this very special story. I spend a lot of time on the road, and had the pleasure of meeting one of the JetBlue cofounders a while back- it was a great moment, one that never would have happened if I had been in my own world with headphones on.
